Film Crew Reflection

How did you come up with the idea for your movie?
The way we came up with a idea for a movie is since we are a three way group, we added a little bit of each others. For example Sierra she had an idea about three girls Vanessa B she came up with a idea of three girls being bad and me I said that the girls should be in a sleepover. All together it will be three girls in a sleepover doing bad things for example:prang calling, playing the Ouija board, and calling bloody marry.

What was one of you biggest Challenges during the writing process?
One of the biggest problems that we had when we were filming is that we had to write our script more than 4 times because first it was too long and the the second time we took it it wasn't in the correct format correctly so at the end we crossed somethings that weren't useful and made it shorter after we put the correct format it correctly.

Did you write many versions of your script?
As I mentioned earlier we made a lot of copies of our script about six. They had different reasons for one example the format and how much it is.
Pre-Production:
What was your biggest challenge during pre-production (before shooting your movie)?
Some of the biggest challenges was with the camera and since our movie did not take place at school were most of the people filmed there's, we had to get a teacher to take us and someone to film. Once we got to our place were we planned to film we didn't know our lines so we had to hide the script and read of there and try to remember some stuff and try not to look at the script as much.

Did you use your storyboard to plan your shots? Describe how this process help.
No we did not we only wrote what our script say so we only drew what the script said or the actions it mentioned. I don't think it helped because it was really hard to draw for me because i am not a good drawer and if you try to match all of your actions.

Production:
What was a challenge that you had during filming of your movie?
A challenge that we had was when we found our filming the camera kept moving and we looked down too much.
We were also trying to get everyone to get focused and on work.

What was something that struck you about filming a movie?
What struck me was how much time and patience you need to have to make one minute movie. It was probably more harder to make a two hour movie and how much time you have to spend making a script and a storyboard and how much work it is.

What is something that you might do differently next time if you had a change to film?
I will make sure I formatted it correctly and make a storyboard correctly too. Because that took a lot of time when we could be filming and adding more transitions and music.

Post Production:
What was a challenge you had during editing your movie?
Did you have to rerecord some of your movie? If so why?
Luckily we didn't have to re-record some of our movie. We did all the filming in a day. While we were editing I forgot some of the things that we could do in movie windows maker. One of the others challenges was when the computer was freezing and we couldn't do our work.

Did the movie come out the according to the script?
Yes the movie came as the script since i mentioned we had to read the script.

Did the movie match the story board?
The movie didn't come as much as the storyboard but yes in some ways it did.

What challenge did you have finishing your movie?
Not much one of the challenges was getting music. Because unfortunately you needed to have music or they take five points away.

What advice would you give to another young movie maker?
Make sure to be ready and have your script and everything is planned and you are ready to go.
